This is all old stuff now, but I’m leaving this here for posterity. This site is a backup of old posts from my previous life of writing on the internets!
Hello! I’m Adrianna Tan, a 24 year old traveller from Singapore. The internets has called me “the Singaporean most famous for not being in Singapore”, and that’d be quite right, since I’m not famous for much else. I now live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but that’s after brief stints around Dubai, Bangkok, London and Bombay.
I graduated from Singapore Management University in 2008 with a degree in political science. Where I once dreamed of a career in public policy or in “solving the North Korean problem”, my life took a dramatic turn when I caught the travel bug — big time. I began travelling independently, and mostly alone, as a 18 year old. If my Chinese fortune-teller is right, that’s probably never going to stop.
My passion is for Southeast and South Asia. I’m a tireless Indophile, and a self-styled ambassador for India travel (and India, who I love and call home). Recently though, I spent almost 8 months in the Middle East, with short intermissions in Europe for good measure. If you really must know, I travel, write and photograph for a living.
