A Selection from Borneo

Because “you don’t post pictures of yourself anymoreeee“, because I’m bored and cold in Perpignan, and because my mum is awake at 6am in Singapore and probably checking my blog.

Entalau. I could get used to living in a longhouse. I certainly got used to living in this one.

I loved Borneo. It was partly sentimental, maybe — the first time my parents brought me anywhere, it was here. I was seven, my teeth were falling out, my mum put me on a rickety bus in the jungle somewhere, and my tooth fell out. There was plenty of kolo mee and all was well in the universe. We took many more buses through many more jungles. I decided then that travelling like this is really fun and I haven’t stopped.

This time in Borneo was really special. I like Europe, but Asia has my heart.

hello. saw your twitter thing about the work-holiday visa. i enquired at the brit visa place at Shenton Way and apparently it gets processed within 5 working days in Singapore and it's good for departure from SG for 3 months from issue date. gets you a total of 2 years there, work visa applicable for a year. good luck!
