Only in India!

Jet Airways, the incumbent, put up a “We’ve Changed” ad at a major Mumbai crossing, only to have Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher Airlines and GoAir put up ads in response. Funny.
Me? I’m a Air Deccan fan girl. I know what all of you in India think about Air Deccan, but I love them to bits. Because if I fly within India at all (rarely), only Deccan seems to give me fares that are comparable to a train ticket in Tier 2A. These days though, I’m even cheaper than I used to be. Indian Railways should give me a loyalty card, the insane number of $10-15 journeys (sleeper class: no better way to travel. honestly!) I make easily span into the tens of thousands of kilometres.

Deccan got taken over by Kingfisher. There’re probably going to be a lot of flight cutbacks now. As low-cost airlines go, Spice Jet is probably the best in India right now.

jetlite is another choice for low cost airline in india.
now that air deccan is under kingfisher, i hope that the services will improve too. there were too much delays in the past.
my only experience with air deccan so far was a delay from 1pm to 10pm from mangalore to mumbai.
