lucky you. I wish i was in bangsar too. Have you tried the pan mee in bangsar? Really yummy. Not like the rubbish they serve in Singapore.

I was heading to Lucky Garden for pan mee and then we realized it was closed for dinner! But we ended up having dai chau (still feels so weird calling it that… too used to saying “cze char”) in Lucky Garden. I spend so much time in that city now — I am sure I will come around to the pan mee soon :)

But at least you’ll still be able to Battlestar Galactica: Razor, I think that’s already been finished so that should be shown soon. It might help feed the cravings….

aiya how unfortunate. The pan mee is only open for breakfast and lunch lah (KL custom). If I ever became rich, I will hire the entire pan mee family and put them on my entourage.

by the way - there is also very good kueh in lucky garden. Aroma is really good (only open in the mornings). But the real good stuff is the kueh stall in front of Nam Chuan coffee shop. Their green ‘woon chye kueh’ is simply out of this world. It only opens at 3.30 pm and sells out by 5 pm. Go early - I once had to fight with a pregnant lady for the last piece of kuih lapis (all is fair when one has a craving). Once you have tasted the kueh there, you will never look at Bengawan Solo again.

eating asia has a good write up on aroma and the kueh stall in front of Nam Chuan http://eatingasia.typepad.com/eatingasia/2005/12/kuih_what.html

Haha.. well, why do you think I go up north so much — I don’t need much convincing regarding the superiority of Chinese food in Msia :) I think I should be made an honorary Msian
