Me: “There’s something I need to tell you.”

Z: “You… made out with someone in India?”

Me: “No.. worse..”

Z: “You… had an affair?”

Me: “No… it’s worse than that…”

(bated breath)

Me: “iwatchedRATATOUILLEwithoutwaitingforyoutocometobangkokiknowisaidiwouldbuti…”

Z: “HOW COULD YOU?? COULDN’T YOU HAVE SOME SELF CONTROL? YOU PROMISED.“

Food, and the pursuit thereof, is a huge part of my relationship; I think we spend close to 80% of our time either eating, talking about food, or discussing where and what to eat next, so Ratatouille was supposed to be our movie. (Somewhere along the line I learned (1) I become very depressed if I spend too much time with people who don’t love food (2) all my best relationships have been with people who love food as much as I do, and all the worst ones with those who don’t love food. Coincidence? I think not!)

So we had to watch it again.

I absolutely adored it, every morsel of it.

LOL! I just saw it yesterday! Ahhh, I can see the trouble you got yourself into, Adri. Tsk, tsk. Doesn’t it make you want to go to Paris tho?

Dang..I’ve been meaning to watch that movie for a while..and after this, I will :)

About your monologue on food though, you’re a frightfully small eater which negates a lot of that passion for food that one reads on your blog or hears of when you talk.

Then again, comparing one to my olympian ability of ruminating mightn’t be as fair =:]

:) well, my eating is somewhat long drawn. It’s about eating many times in a day and eating many things. Small bites of many things. :)

Awww, I can’t wait to watch it! I am a foodie too; I love discovering new places. That’s probably a big reason I don’t like living in the suburbs of Colorado: I’m surrounded by chains.
