Almost Home

June 24th, 2007  |  Published in general  |  5 Comments

I’m a little burnt out. I’m writing working like a maniac and when I close my eyes I dream of stories to pitch and pictures to shoot, and then I wake up without sleeping very much and to work on reducing that mounting backlog of work in progress. “Office” is “wherever there’s power, wifi and coffee” ââ¬â mostly Geek Terminal (and the closest thing I have to a ‘colleague’ are other freelance writers, and my small bunch of power breakfast business/bakchormee kakis). Not to mention that I’ve been sick with various ailments and varying levels of seriousness for the past 40 days with not much of a break… in addition to having to get my Indian visa, run about a million errands, write full time 10 am to 4am (yes) everyday, think about stories while I sleep, and… try to get better. /whine

I have a sneaking suspicion the next time there’s any activity here it’ll be when I’m happily ensconced in my 200 rupee room in Madras Chennai. After finishing all that work, of course.

I adore your sense of adventure.
Have a nice stay in your 200 rupee room and washing up in the communal washroom.
