On The New Year

贺新年，祝新年，新年到，过新年。。新年歌把我祝贺到头好痛啊。

虽然从来不爱过新年，2007 是我第一次在家门外自己独立生活。一分自由，三分难熬，时时刻刻都想家。能在家和亲爱的家人度过这节日把这新年成为实在最好的一个。能跟家人一块儿过春节的时光算不多了。。过了明年，人在美国，或印度，自己也不太清楚。

祝大家新年快乐，希望你们全都梦想成真。

    In reply to your previous post, about why all CNY songs are about money: not all are. The old chestnuts I know are different: one, sung by a woman, is about having travelled the earth before returning to her family, and it's really beautiful, too (I think it begins with "走遍了万水") ; another is about love--(girl)一年最好是春季, 为什么今年更甜蜜?(guy)花还是一样地 开哟， 鸟还是那样地啼 (together) 为什么今年更甜蜜? 因为我身边有着一个你。 I think there are others too, but I can't sing them offhand. ("春天到来百花开" doesn't sound like a money song...another about chun1 lian2, and another from the eighties sung in a slightly nasal soprano...old songs...)

    But it's true that there IS a lot of emphasis on 4D and the God of Prosperity. :)
