The World is Flat
Because I walked into a restaurant in the old quarter of Luang Prabang, Laos, and saw a familiar face: Miss K!!! I think her exact words were, “What the hell are you doing here?” It was then followed by a discussion on how much weight I’d put on. :)
Food is great, beer is cheap, Luang Prabang’s wonderful, weather is fantastic. Breakfast baguettes at $1, hour-long massages at US$4, a fabulous lunch for under US$4, and a Theatreworks/Royal Ballet performance of the Ramayana tonight, at the National Museum.
I need at least 3 more weeks in Luang Prabang, or 3 more trips here.
