I have utilities for migration from Outlook and Outlook Express on my website. They can migrate to any mail client on any OS because the utility simulates a pop3 server. They are tip-ware (you pay the price you think is right).

Parallel is getting better and better. But running Windows via Parallel with less than 384ram (for Windows) is not helping.

The reason why you need outlook is because the most friendly converter (O2M) do not support Outlook express. Most Windows users will still use outlook express despite that they have outlook and Office installed in their PC.

I would rather waste the time installing Outlook then to abandon O2M.

Mmmmm ... new Mac. It's a real nuisance dealing with pst files alright. Open standards really are the way to go in this day and age.

I considered that for a while, however considering the insane amount of mail in question, I reckoned going through OE wasn't going to do it. I also couldn't risk messing up the folder structures (100ish folders, all obscurely scattered).

:P I'm only doing all this to buy my replacement Mac!

Doesn't Outlook Express allow you to import from Outlook (I know you hate using another client but sometimes it's easier)? If you're really bored you could run a local IMAP server and move it that way? (I can't help coming up with obscure ways of doing it :) )
