Missing

Glowing

Natasha, age 30 months. 12″ PowerBook.

Last seen: back of a taxi on 6 December.

No power adapter (so battery probably lasts just 2 minutes), screen is locked and prompts for “Adrianna Tan’s password”, black Marware sleeve.

No helpful suggestions about buying a MacBook or MacBook Pro… my baby just can’t be replaced and I can’t bear the thought of it. They don’t make them like they make her anymore. She’s been to Cambodia, India, Bangladesh, crossed more road borders than most of you, and of all the places to disappear it had to be in sunny, sterile Singapore.

In the odd event that it shows up anywhere other than a taxi headquarter or police station (I’m just taking my chance here) — I’m willing to offer a reward.

Devastated.

Oh Man … How did this happen? I hope and presume that you’ve lost only the machine and not data parts of your life, though not much of a consolation. I empathize with you on a powerbook’s beauty. Mine is like a good friend, too.

I am so sorry for you and will summon all my power of prayer that it returns to its rightful place in this world.

I have a very strong feeling that Natasha will find her way back to you, Adri. Please let us know as soon as she does.

Meantime, I am bending all my best good vibes and intentions toward her speedy return.

I’ve given my 12″ G4 a more generic name “Miss Mac”. And I could not bear the idea of being parted from her as you have from Natascha. I hope you meet again!
Has anyone ever heard of male names given to Macs?

My sympathies Adri. You’re right, they don’t make it like they used to anymore…

    Any future plans?

I feel for you. Know what it’s like to lose something which is an extension of yourself & your life.

Since it happened on Wed, whoever (taxi driver/passenger) has found it (or rather, I should say: her) would surely send her in to a police station/taxi co by this weekend/early next week at the latest. So do keep checking, & I wish you the best.

That’s hard, best wishes. I hope she finds her way back home to you like a leaping sassy adversity-defying cat.
