Have officially retreated from civilization until I’m done with my new Battlestar Galactica obsession, and it’s all “his”:http://mrbrown.com/ fault. I have BSG wallpapers, MSN icons, and it won’t be long before I get _those_ dreams about “Lieutenant Thrace”:http://www.spacecast.com/bsg/bios_starbuck.asp.

Because 35 episodes in 2 days can’t be natural. Neither is having “Impeach Gaius Baltar” banners on your computer, when he isn’t even… you know, President _actual_.

    Thanks to your influence, my hands got itchy and I searched for BSG episodes. I am on my 2nd day and 18th episode.

  • Ha! Something similar happened to me recently too, only with the Bleach anime/manga. I finished 99 episodes of the anime in about 4 days, finished 248 chapters of the manga (as well as all the wikipedia entries even remotely connected to it) in another 3 days, downloaded their theme songs and am now re-reading the manga and re-watching the anime while waiting for new episodes/chapters. This could not have come at a worse time, what with exams just around the corner and all. =_=

    deepak: this is my first time.. well, kinda, the only other time was 'fong sai yuk', a chinese swordfighting drama (40 episodes per season, and i watched 2 seasons, in what.. 4 days).

  • I have got the TV series bug a number of times. I watched the first season of 24 in 18 hours straight, with just a couple of toilet breaks!

    Recently, I finished the first season of Prison Break overnight. Enjoying the second season so far.

    You KNOW you have to catch up anyway. The whole studio is going into Season 3 and if you don't finish Seasons 1 and 2, you will need to hide everytime we talk about Season 3, hahahaha!

  • I so *totally* understand you! Used to convert Season 1 and 2 to my iPod to watch it while being at the gym. My best workout times ever. Although I preferred "Boomer"... ;-)

  • my god, what is it with BSG? my boyfriend keeps raving on about it... but I don't really see what's so great about it. then again, i never really liked sci-fi shows.

    but, i do have a similar obsession with Lost and Prison Break. or with any show that i like, for that matter. once i get hooked, i just spend hours watching episode after episode. or thinking about the episodes while i'm at work. I did an 8-episode marathon for Prison break last Sunday, which still doesn't beat my 13-episode marathon for Lost last year.

    Plus, think about how much fun it will be once you're caught up and watching episodes on a weekly basis - you can keng gai with MB about that week's episode.

    Although I do have to warn you that the drop-off from watch 12 eps a day to one every 7 days is a bit painful...

    And everyone has those dreams of Starbuck, even straight women and gay men. She's everything that's wonderful and yet so incredibly broken, all in one pretty package. Plus, constant ass-kicking = double-plus good.

    I managed to watch the entirety of the first two seasons in 5 days, and I bought a "Vote for Laura Roslin!" pin. At least take comfort in the fact that you're not alone.
