Cheap Thrills

# “Your photo”:http://flickr.com/photos/skinnylatte/230303799/ shares the top banner rotation space with 10 other photos at the “Flickr Nokia”:http://flickr.com/nokia site. Sometimes I feel like Nokia’s whore. (Watch “this space”:http://sharewhatyousee.nokia-asia.com/, where yours truly’s mug and video will grace those screens.)
# Giggling at the digs we take at Gong Li in “our little parody”:http://www.mrbrownshow.com/?p=349.
# On the front page of the Straits Times today, the Indonesian President says Indonesia “did not intend to cause the haze”. Well duh.
# I wish I went to a “School of the Future”:http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/234831/1/.html. I don’t recognize my Ministry of Education anymore. First, they scrap that ahem, popular programme for the Gifted. Then they take away EM3. Where’s my hardline, run-by- ex-Brigadier-General Minister, and my Creative-Thinking- Through-Creative-Thinking- Classes (On Saturdays, Because We Can’t Eat into Regular School Time) Ministry of Education? In my time I had to fight for my right to use my “Palm III”:http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/palm_iii_review and Psion Revo in school, because I argued they were educational tools too (the “Palmasutra”:http://www.palmasutra.org/eng/, in monochrome, notwithstanding). Now my Ministry of Education is talking about immersing our students in Second Life? What’s next? _Hua Yu Cool!_ Oh wait, “we already have that”:http://youtube.com/watch?v=myqyKZsknmw. _Hua yu hao cool!_
# What if the US President was black — and was Dave Chappelle: who said anything about oil bitch, you cookin?

    There’s been a book about a black president before. It’s a good read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_%28book%29

    sometimes?

and i remember those times… the Geography HOD would come over to my desk while i was scribbling Geog notes into my Palm IIIe, look at my stylus moving across the Graffiti area and say, ‘I don’t see you writing anything. You’re not taking notes, are you. Don’t make me confiscate that.’

Well, I would be Nokia’s whore if they were actually paying me.

Haha. Try explaining ‘graffiti’ to a Geography HOD. They’d think ‘crime’ instead of ‘writing input method’.

    Dave Chappelle!

By the way the Black Bush sketch you linked to isn’t complete. The full one is about seven minutes long, and has bits about gay marriage and the space programme at the end.
