What I’ve Been Up To

A meme. For the heck of it.
1. Like everybody, bopping along to Gnarls Barkley. Particularly “Crazy”.
2. Re-discovering education. Realising that my life in school is easily made better by forming project groups with exchange students. That makes everyone happy: the other hardworking local kids don’t have to complain about “those exchange students who run off to travel on weekends, and cannot meet 10 times a week”; the exchange students are happy they don’t have to meet 10 times a week; I am happy I don’t have to work with muggers, and that I can help other people plan their Southeast Asian travel itinerary. (Really, what’s the point of meeting 10 times a week when all you do is book a group study room and go on MSN? Shouldn’t university students have learned about ’studying smart’ by this time? /rant)
3. Shooting, and writing. Too much.
4. Drooling at the new 24″ iMac.
5. Finding my footing again by going to those parties. Realising I never had any. My one and only party trick ââ¬â sit around and try to look pretty ââ¬â doesn’t work anymore. Singlehood is hard work.
6. Drawing up 21st birthday wishlists. My mother is sending me to get my eyes operated on. In the event that anything goes wrong… at least, you know, audiophile equipment can cheer me up.
7. Watching Decoding Ferran Adria again and again. Wondering when I’ll ever make it to Spain to eat at El Bulli. Forget about expensive gifts, expensive cameras and lenses and Macs… I’m marrying the person who takes me there. Food is the way to many people’s hearts. My heart demands El Bulli.
8. Spending more time with old friends, and making new ones.
9. Brushing up on my Chinese. I’m reading a Chinese novel. Shock shock, horror.
10. Still listening to Gnarls Barkley. Good God. See it for yourself.
What’re you up to?

What I Tried To Do:
1) Say hi to Pop at Thumper on Tue - sightings were reported but single girls sitting down and looking pretty were few and far between.
=) Hi anyway! ‘Twas my first 2Qs!

I hate you. I really really hate you. Rah. Nevermind. I will eat at Nobu in December. In NY. (I know it’s not as good but I don’t care I’m trying to make myself feel better.)

By the way, have you gotten your reservation yet? It’s virtually impossible this late in advance unless you have some connections isn’t it??? Just like stupid El Bulli - book the reservations at the restaurant before you get your plane tickets.
