Edited 1 October: There is a “better solution”:http://popagandhi.com/395/more-on-isync-and-the-n73/. The method described here is outdated.
A last minute revelation: following a “hint”:http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060509170202873 I found, I have managed to figure out how to add iSync support for the new Nokia N73. It’s fairly straightforward.
The procedure:
* Go to Finder
* Control-click (or right click) on iSync, select Show Package Contents
* Go to Contents/Plugins/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice then /Contents/Plugins/PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources
* Make a copy of MetaClasses.plist, for backup
* Open MetaClasses.plist in a text editor (TextWrangler or Smultron for me, TextEdit will work fine too)
* Insert this code from “this page”:http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060509170202873 but replace all instances of N91 with N73.
* Just to be really anal, the bit that is supposed to be NOKN73.tiff, can be changed to NOKN70.tiff, since the N70 and the N73 looks more or less the same, and there isn’t a new .tiff icon for the N73 as yet.
I don’t guarantee this will make syncing work perfectly but for the initial task of moving all contacts into the new phone, it works fine.
