My Flickr pro account expired just before I left, and I was hoping that I would come back to be pleasantly surprised by a renewal as a gift.. alas, I had to do it myself. All 800 photos are now accessible (the free account only showed the last 200), including all sets (I’m still tidying up my sets). There’s even a new Flickr set ââ¬â Me (Flickr stats reveal photos of self apparently draw most attention). I am now USD25 poorer, but that’s nothing compared to what my credit card bill this month must be like.

No pictures of Z in there? And did you recover anything from that busted card?

Of course there are, once I add you as a Flickr friend you’ll see them. Which is about now. :) Most of the pics from that card were recovered.. after some gruelling hours on a slow computer in Jaisalmer.

Nice pics. Did you shoot them all (/most of them) with the 350d and the 17-40 f/4 L? My reason for asking is that I’m thinking of buying this lens to replace my kit lens… :-)

Yes, I did. Most of the ones from the last 2 months anyway. If they weren’t, they were probably shot with the 50mm f1.8, which is another amazing lens (and so cheap that you might as well buy it along with the 17-40).
The 17-40 is an excellent lens indeed.. I find myself using that, and the 50mm, almost exclusively.
:) Expensive hobby.. now I’m lusting for the 24-105L, but don’t have the S$2800.

I just realised how cheap the 50mm f1.8 is. Time to go shopping!! (Then again maybe I should just focus on saving up for my fisheye…..)
