Rubber Ducky Edition

August 20th, 2005  |  Published in site  |  10 Comments

You’re looking at it now. A few more things have to be done, but for now, it’s gone without a glitch. Over the next couple of days, I will be adding links, organizing old content, adding certain ‘best of’ entries from previous versions of this site. And looking for a better duck to be on the banner.

All hail Text*, here, here, and here.

All systems are OK GO, Feedburner links should sync shortly, and it is time to get some sleep.

I haven’t left the house in days, but I still feel the urge to talk to myself here.

glad u made the switch :) btw if u have any probs u can try the support forum at forum.textpattern.com instead of the one at textdrive…there’s more txp users there.

The best of TXP users are at textdrive forums, including the people who made that. They’re family! Usually seem to respond faster and there’s always the option to open a support ticket when it isn’t solved. :)

So… what makes txp better then wp?? It’ll be nice to hear some opinions

Actually it’s up to the individual whether txp is more suitable for themselves rather than it being “better” than any other software. Firstly txp is more of a CMS than just a blogging software, apart from a blog you can set up all kinds of sites if you know how to use it. However the learning curve of txp is steeper, when I first started with it I was totally confused even though I consider myself pretty experienced in web coding. And txp doesn’t come with a pretty “outta-box” template design like WP, but once you get the hang of it it’s really flexible. Txp is also known to run very lightly, meaning it renders your pages faster. At the end of the day, the best thing is to try out both and just see which one works for you! :D
