Rickshaw!
How cool is this — a blog dedicated to collecting the “poetry, phrases, expressions, and words found on the back of Rickshaws” in South Asia! (Rickshaw blog, found through India Uncut)
Since we’re on the topic of rickshaws, there’s now a home-made rap song in Kannada about a day in the life of an auto-rickshaw driver; and while we’re on the topic of things you see on the back of moving vehicles in India, here’s my favourite blog of the moment, which got its name from another famous Indian peculiarity, which in turn leads me to resolve not to fall asleep while making the ascent up the mountains, so that I won’t miss other fabulous signs on the winding road up (like DRIVE CAREFULLY: DONATE BLOOD BUT PLEASE NOT HERE), all in the hopes of contributing towards Weirdest Photos in India.

New template. Again! Have fun ;-)
How much did the 8 gig card cost you? I upgraded to a 2 gig, which is just enough for a day’s shoot.
You get farewell trips before you go on vacation? And I thought a visa for Bhutan cost plenty money. Ah … would’ve loved to hear your impressions of the place.
farewell meals only because of the sheer length of this coming one!
bhutan.. well, yea it does cost plenty of money, i tried to find ways to getting aroudn that, got quite close, but didn’t get it in the end. :) oh well next time
I went to Bhutan in ‘97 but didn’t need a visa, as far as I remember.. how much do you have to pay for this visa now? how were you gonna get it free?
Thanks for noticing the Rickshaw blog. I see you travel quite a bit? Send in quotes, pictures, etc. from Rickshaws where you get them.
