It’s Out

And has been, for some time, I suspect, but I only just saw it on the newsstand.
That picture is not a picture of me, nor is it a picture of mine.
Travel India (”The only lifestyle and travel magazine on India in the region”), issue 2, Autumn 2005. It costs only S$4. This issue contains a story on Rajasthan, pubbing in Bangalore, a journey through the Western Ghats to Mangalore on an Enfield Thunderbird, and of course, my essay on its last page. So go grab it, if you have an interest in India and/or seeing my stuff in print.
Here I am looking like I fit in awfully (Aditi De, Mala Kumar, Deepanjali Pandey, etc, and the most Indian name of all, mine)
Followed by a riveting self description for my first ‘real’ publication “(my name here) is a full time undergraduate in Singapore, but she wants nothing more than to drink tea, enjoy other leaves starting with the letter T, and write, especially in Darjeeling. She enjoys eyebrow threading and spends her free time investigating the science of making masala tea.” I must have had too much masala tea and “other leaves starting with the letter T” when I wrote that.
I have to thank my readers for giving me opportunities like these, among others.
